Wersi DELTA DX 500 T 1983-1987 - Walnut

Rare opportunity to acquire a fully operational WERSI DELTA DX 500 T, purchased new as a WERSI kit in March 1986 and assembled by its original owners.

This is an unusually complete and well-documented example. The organ has been personally inspected and operated. All functions tested are operational, including both 61-note keyboards, the pedalboard and pedals, drawbars, instrument-selection controls, and function controls.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED CONFIGURATION

The original WERSI purchase documentation dated March 17, 1986 specifically identifies the instrument as a DELTA DX500 T. WERSI's order confirmation documents:

• Kit Paks 1, 2, 3 and 4
• Sound Paks I, II and III
• Digital Reverb
• Slave units 3, 4 and 5
• Two TS5100 Active units
• Original bench

A subsequent WERSI purchase added the CX-4 / Sound Pak 6 Rhythm & Accompaniment system.

COMPUTER / DIGITAL INTERFACE

The system includes the WERSI computer interface and the original Commodore 64 computer with 5¼-inch floppy disk drive. Original WERSI documentation for the Commodore interface is included.

The WERSI documentation also covers the DX 400/500 MIDI and RS-232 interfaces.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION

An unusually extensive collection of original WERSI documentation accompanies the organ, including assembly manuals covering the DX series, controls, central electronics, special effects, CX-4 Rhythm & Accompaniment, power chassis, Digital Reverb, and technical data.

The original WERSI purchase orders, order confirmation and invoice/check-off documentation are also included.

The March 17, 1986 WERSI confirmation documents the original order and identifies the DX500 T. The original documentation records a total purchase of $15,804.60 including California sales tax. A later order added the CX-4/Sound Pak 6.

CONDITION

The organ is fully operational based on personal testing of the feature sets described above.

Cosmetic condition is very good for a vintage 1986 instrument. There is one small, barely noticeable water stain on the top of the cabinet; otherwise the cabinet and controls are in very good condition.

The original height-adjustable bench is included and its adjustment mechanism functions properly.

The original pedalboard is included and all pedals tested are functional.

There is no external serial-number plate on the organ or pedalboard. The WERSI assembly documentation contains its own publication/assembly identification numbers, but these are not represented as an instrument serial number.

LOCAL PICKUP PREFERRED/OPTIONAL SELLER DELIVERY

This is a large, heavy vintage organ system and is not being offered for conventional parcel shipping. Buyer is responsible for transportation and appropriate moving equipment. Seller will cooperate with the buyer regarding reasonable arrangements for removal and loading. Delivery by seller within 200 mile radius may be negotiated.

The instrument will be demonstrated to a prospective buyer before completion of the transaction.
