HOHNER Organetta 3 ~ 50's / 60's
Hohner Organetta 3
This small keyboard works and has a great 'reedy' sound. It has a harmonium like quality.
It is old, delicate and temperamental! Some days all the notes work, sometimes not!
Sometimes one will stick. I have found most of the time, "working" the key resolves the issue.
It's got a set of harmonica-like reeds inside, and a "fan" which sends air through the reed(s)
as the keys are depressed. I love the sound, and have recorded it many times. When playing low
5ths & 4ths there is a thrilling 'grind' from these reeds! The lower notes are louder than the higher
ones. The notes are relaxed in the way they respond to your touch. It is not for speedy playing!
This was made in the late 50's in Germany, and will work with both European power and in the US.
I have been using it at 110v with the adapter pictured above.
The gold grill has come loose - Rather than glue it into place, I am going to pack it carefully with
the keyboard so the new owner may do with it as they wish.
The original "music stand" is missing.
Again, this unique keyboard works and sounds cool but I would recommend that it only be
purchased by someone who is handy, and enjoys tinkering!

The YouTube video above will give you the general idea. His is cleaner than this one!
