1990 Ibanez RG570 Jewel Blue Made in Japan at FujiGen

A genuine early-production Japanese RG570 from Ibanez’s highly regarded late-1980s/early-1990s era, finished in Jewel Blue with a matching headstock.

Serial number F036423 indicates FujiGen production in 1990. The guitar retains the classic early RG570 configuration: a basswood body, square-heel Wizard maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, Ibanez V1/S1/V2 HSH pickups and the original Edge double-locking tremolo.

Condition

This is a player-grade vintage instrument with honest cosmetic wear from approximately 36 years of use.

There are scratches, small dents and finish chips around the body edges and headstock, together with age-related wear and oxidation on the neck plate and black hardware. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as the cosmetic condition has been shown as clearly as possible.

Neck heel and neck-pocket disclosure

When the neck was removed for inspection, the heel was found to carry an “RG-550R” factory stamp, while the neck pocket carries a separate production marking.

These markings are not matching serial numbers. During this period, FujiGen-produced RG550, RG560 and RG570 models used interchangeable Wizard necks of the same basic specification. It is therefore common to find an RG570 fitted with a neck carrying an RG550-series production stamp.

This marking pattern is consistent with documented FujiGen/Ibanez production practices of the period and, by itself, does not indicate that the guitar is a parts guitar or that the neck was replaced. Photographs of both the neck heel and neck pocket are included for complete transparency.

A great opportunity to own an original-spec, square-heel Japanese RG570 in one of the defining Ibanez colors of the era.

The instrument is sold as described and pictured. Please review all photographs and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing. Reasonable offers are welcome.
