The Martin D-X2E Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric - Brazilian Burst Special expands the X Series lineup with upgraded appointments and the bold, full-bodied sound that has made the dreadnought a longtime favorite. Ideal for singer-songwriters, flatpickers, and players who want powerful projection for home, stage, or studio, this special edition pairs a timeless Vintage Burst finish with refined cosmetic details that set it apart from the standard X Series models.

A solid spruce top delivers crisp articulation and impressive projection, while Brazilian rosewood-pattern HPL back and sides provide exceptional durability and classic Martin character in changing environments. The full-size dreadnought body and 25.4" scale length produce strong low end, clear highs, and excellent note definition, making this guitar a natural fit for strumming, flatpicking, and vocal accompaniment. Scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and sustain, while the onboard Martin E1 electronics with a built-in tuner make it ready for live performance or recording whenever inspiration strikes.

The hand-applied select hardwood neck features Martin's comfortable PA Profile and is paired with a select hardwood fingerboard accented by Diamond and Squares Long inlays. Special details like the faux abalone single-ring rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, and unique Martin block logo on the headstock give this model a distinctive look, while chrome enclosed gear tuners provide dependable tuning stability. We think this is an excellent choice for players who want classic Martin dreadnought tone, vintage-inspired styling, and dependable performance at an outstanding value.
