AER Compact 60 Combo Amp w/ Factory Cover - Used

The AER Compact 60 has been the reference standard for acoustic amplification since its introduction in the 1990s, and it has held that position across multiple generations without fundamentally changing what makes it work. AER — "the Acoustic People" — built the Compact 60 around a simple and effective idea: reproduce the natural sound of an acoustic instrument as accurately and transparently as possible, without coloring it or imposing a character that isn't already there. The result is an amp that players describe as a mirror — what goes in comes out, cleanly and naturally, with none of the harshness that piezo pickups produce through most conventional amplifiers. At 60 watts through an 8" twin-cone speaker it is considerably louder than its size suggests, and at 18 pounds it is one of the most genuinely portable professional acoustic amps ever made.
The two-channel layout covers the working singer-songwriter's needs completely: Channel 1 takes a 1/4" instrument input with gain, 3-band EQ, and a Color switch that voices the preamp for different pickup types; Channel 2 is a combo XLR/1/4" input with mic/line switching, phantom power, and 2-band EQ for a vocal mic or second instrument. Digital effects, a balanced DI output with ground lift, an effects loop, headphone output, and a footswitch jack round out the feature set. Tommy Emmanuel, John Renbourn, and generations of Gypsy jazz and acoustic fingerstyle players have made the Compact 60 their amp of choice — which is the most useful endorsement an acoustic amp can have.
This example is in very good condition with very light signs of use — essentially clean throughout and functioning perfectly. Includes the factory cover, which has a slight tear.
