Vintage Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi V8 “Black Russian” distortion/sustainer, made in Russia.

This is the later small-box Black Russian version of the Big Muff and one of the final generations of Russian-made Electro-Harmonix/Sovtek Big Muffs.

The date sticker visible inside the battery compartment reads 04-05, indicating early 2005 production.

The pedal is in excellent cosmetic condition for its age, with only light marks/wear from use and storage. Please see the photographs for the exact condition.

It has the original battery compartment cover and four rubber feet, and comes with its original Electro-Harmonix Big Muff cardboard box, which is quite worn and aged but complete enough to display well alongside the pedal.

Connections are the original rear-mounted Input and Output jacks.

Powered by a 9V battery via the battery compartment on the underside.

These Russian Big Muffs are known for their huge low end, thick fuzz and long sustain, and have become increasingly collectable since Russian production ceased.

Condition: Very good used/vintage condition. The original box shows considerably more age and wear, including creasing, staining and edge wear, as pictured.

Tested and working correctly. All three controls, footswitch and LED operate as they should.
