Yamaha Beech Custom 6-Piece Drum Kit – Late 1990s – Made in Japan – Blueberry Purple – 10/12/13/14/16/22
Our users rate Reverb
Beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find Yamaha Beech Custom professional drum kit from the late 1990s, made in Japan and finished in Yamaha’s striking Blueberry Purple lacquer.
This is a large 6-shell configuration with five matching-finish toms:
- 10” tom
- 12” tom
- 13” tom
- 14” tom
- 16” tom
- 22” bass drum
No snare drum is included with this listing.
Includes all tom mounting hardware
Bass drum hoops cracked and repaired.
These are the original Japanese-made Beech Custom drums, with 100% beech shells — not the later Beech Custom Absolute series. Yamaha’s Beech Customs are known for their warm, punchy sound, strong projection and excellent Japanese build quality.
The original Yamaha badges are present and marked Made in Japan. Model numbers visible on the drums include WTT-series numbers such as WTT812, WTT814 and WTT816.
The shells carry different serial/date codes, so we are describing the kit conservatively as late 1990s rather than claiming a specific production year for the entire set. The larger five-tom configuration may have been assembled or expanded over time with matching Yamaha Beech Custom drums.
The Blueberry Purple lacquer is gorgeous and really shows the wood grain underneath. These are used drums and do show normal signs of age and use, including some cosmetic marks. Please review the photos closely for condition.
The 22” bass drum also has an internally mounted microphone/mic setup installed.
Cases Included
The drums were stored with quality protective cases, including Humes & Berg Enduro hard cases and Kases soft cases. Please see the photos for the cases included with the kit.
Lots of Additional Drum Gear Available
We are also selling a substantial collection of additional professional drum and percussion gear, including:
- Several snare drums
- A large selection of cymbals
- Yamaha and other drum hardware
- Cymbal stands
- Hi-hat stands
- Bass drum pedals
- Thrones and accessories
- Additional percussion gear
The additional gear is not included in the price of this drum kit, but is available separately, in smaller groupings, or potentially as part of a larger package/lot.
If you’re interested in building out a complete setup or purchasing multiple pieces, please message us. We’re happy to discuss what’s available and package pricing.
Pickup / Shipping
Because this is a large six-piece kit with cases, local pickup in Northern Virginia is strongly preferred.
Shipping may be possible at the buyer’s expense, but please contact us before purchasing so we can discuss logistics and the safest way to transport the drums.
Additional photos, badge/serial-number photos, measurements and other details are available upon request.
Offers welcome.
