Up for sale is a 2005 Fender American Vintage ’62 Jaguar in Surf Green. This is a great-looking, well-played example of Fender’s American Vintage reissue, with plenty of honest wear that gives the guitar the appearance of an instrument that has actually been used and enjoyed over the past 20+ years.

The guitar is in Solid Good Plus condition and shows a fair amount of honest play wear throughout, including various dings, scratches, swirl marks, cloudiness in spots, finish wear, and finish chips. Most notably, there are several chips and areas of wear around the body edges as pictured, along with some finish loss around the neck pocket. Please see all photos for a detailed representation of the cosmetic condition.

The frets remain in great shape overall, showing only mild wear primarily across frets 1–10 beneath the plain strings, with plenty of life remaining.

Both original pickups have been replaced with Lollar pickups, including a Lollar Jaguar pickup in the neck position and a Lollar sB pickup in the bridge position. The traditional Jaguar switching and control layout remains intact. In addition, the original bridge was replaced with a mustang style bridge making vibrato work seamless. The original pickups and bridge are not included.

This was recently given a pro setup with a set of 11-49 strings so it plays amazingly with a straight neck, low action, and accurate intonation. We installed a 1 degree StewMac full wood neck pocket shim to achieve an ideal neck angle.
