Taylor Next Generation Builder's Edition 914ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar - Honduran Rosewood/Sinker Redwood

Adventurous players in search of a truly heirloom-quality guitar will find a lot to love about this Next Generation Builder's Edition 914ce, crafted with a sinker redwood top and Honduran rosewood back and sides. That premium tonewood pairing yields an exceptionally complex, harmonically rich voice with a warmth and responsiveness that doesn't sacrifice power or clarity. Inside, our scalloped V-Class bracing enhances the response with more volume, sustain and open-string expressiveness while amplifying the natural overtone character of these unique tonewoods. With an Action Control Neck, players can dial in the perfect feel in seconds without even detuning the strings, and our new Claria undersaddle pickup and preamp deliver clear, beautiful plugged-in tone for live performance applications.

Along with the comfort-boosting beveled armrest, cutaway and chamfered body edges, this Grand Auditorium sports ultra-precise Gotoh 510 tuning machines in antique gold, with elegant visual details such as black/koa/paua top edge trim, a paua rosette, Belle Fleur inlays in paua, and mother-of-pearl, abalone-dotted ebony bridge pins, with a lustrous Kona Edgeburst for the back and sides to complete the appointment package.

• Sinker redwood top yields warm, powerful projection
• Honduran rosewood body adds smooth, complex texture
• Scalloped V-Class bracing enhances volume, sustain and expressiveness

Grand Auditorium - Taylor’s signature shape embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic.

Honduran Rosewood - Extremely dense compared to other rosewood species, Honduran rosewood sings with a uniquely smooth voice that makes it worthy of our finest guitars.

Action Control Neck - Building on Taylor’s legacy of easy-playing necks, the new Action Control Neck pairs a long-tenon joint for added warmth and depth with a patented system for effortless string height adjustment.

Sinker Redwood - Tight grain structure and cross-grain stiffness produce a bold and brilliant response with warm overtones. Think cedar on steroids.

Claria™ Pickup System - Developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers, Taylor’s new Claria™ System reimagines the under-saddle piezo pickup to deliver consistent plug-and-play acoustic tone in any setting.

Beveled Cutaway - Our beveled cutaway design provides a more player-friendly feel for guitarists who utilize every inch of the fretboard. It features a compound design with a smoothened edge along the corner of the body between the end of the cutaway and the neck heel, providing a more comfortable feel for the fretting hand.
