• Vintage-inspired BB styling with modern Yamaha consistency
• Simple player-focused controls make dialing in tones fast and intuitive

The Yamaha BB234 carries forward the legacy of one of Yamaha’s most respected bass platforms with a design focused on reliability, versatility, and straightforward musical performance. Built around Yamaha’s custom V3 pickup configuration, the BB234 combines the warmth and fullness of a split-coil neck pickup with the articulation and definition of a single-coil bridge pickup, giving players access to a wide range of usable tones without unnecessary complexity.

The alder body delivers balanced resonance with strong low-end response and clear note definition, making the BB234 equally comfortable in rock, pop, indie, funk, and modern session environments. Yamaha’s updated BB body shape improves overall comfort and balance while preserving the classic BB visual identity that has made the series a long-standing favorite among working bass players.

The slim maple neck gives the BB234 a fast and approachable playing feel that works well for newer players while still offering enough stability and comfort for experienced bassists. Combined with the rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style bridge design, the instrument feels controlled, responsive, and dependable across rehearsals, studio tracking, and live performance.

The Raspberry Red finish gives the BB234 a bold vintage-inspired appearance with rich visual warmth and strong stage-ready character. Its deeper red tone pairs naturally with the BB body shape and chrome hardware, creating a bass that feels expressive, classic, and confidently performance-focused without becoming overly flashy.
