The Valentine combines the innovation and playability that Ernie Ball Music Man guitars are known for in a familiar yet modern design. Featuring a Mississippi Swamp Ash slab body, two pickups (humbucker in neck & single coil in bridge position, inside a humbucker casing), a 12dB push-push boost, a roasted maple neck/fretboard, and locking tuners, the Valentine has become a classic in its own time.
An Exceptionally Talented Guitar.
One of the many qualities that GN Music guitarists truly appreciate about Sterling by Music Man is the company’s remarkable ability to deliver innovative, artist-inspired models to a broader audience. The Valentine, named after the talented Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine, exemplifies this commitment beautifully. This solid-body electric guitar features a uniquely contoured ash body designed for exceptional playing comfort. Complementing its striking design is a smooth maple neck and fingerboard; the 12-inch fingerboard radius ensures effortless playability, perfect for today’s discerning guitarists. On the electronics front, the Valentine is exceptionally equipped, showcasing a robust humbucker in the neck position and a bright, clear single-coil pickup at the bridge. Paired with the master volume, master tone, 3-way switch, and a 12dB boost, these pickups provide an impressive array of tonal possibilities. Embrace the opportunity to elevate your performance with a Sterling by Music Man Valentine and truly shine at your next gig!
Unique body design.
As you embark on a global tour with a Grammy-winning band such as Maroon 5, having a truly comfortable instrument is essential. This latest version of the Valentine, echoing the craftsmanship of original American models, features a distinctive wedge-shaped body crafted from resonant ash. The meticulous construction process ensures that the body is elegantly carved, becoming thinner on the bass side and thicker on the treble side. This innovative design significantly enhances playing comfort, thoughtfully eliminating the need for a forearm contour or bevel.
