Overview

In the early sixties, lead vocalists showed up to gigs with a microphone and a hope that there was something to plug in to. A local band with plans to hit the road approached Long & McQuade's then-service tech, Pete Traynor, for a solution. Traynor produced two road-worthy column PA speakers, dubbed YSC. The resulting Yorkville speakers comprised the first known portable column PA system, soon to be commonplace on stages around the world.

Sixty years in, Yorkville Sound continues to innovate on a global level. Most recently, Yorkville unveiled the EXM Mobile series, the world's best portable battery-powered PA systems, giving musicians the latitude to set up great-sounding gigs anywhere.

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Yorkville Sound & Traynor Amps, the product engineers at Yorkville Sound combined the history of the YSC PA Column, with the modern features found in our EXM Mobile Series of portable PA. The result is a portable, battery-powered lightweight PA speaker with an ultra-cool vintage look.

The YSC Mobile shares all of the beloved features found in the best-selling EXM Mobile portable battery-powered PA speaker. Boasting a battery life of 5.5 hours at full capacity, the YSC Mobile is designed for performances where AC power is not an option.

The YSC Mobile is Bluetooth compatible and can be used as your everyday speaker. Stream your favourite audio from your mobile device while bringing retro-vibes to your home, the park, the dock, or wherever you enjoy your music.
