The Fame DD-ONE Professional XT electronic drum kit module features a modern design and an improved user interface, characterised by six continuously adjustable volume faders, metal knobs and a larger LCD display. 554 sounds across 29 kits offer endless variety; all sounds were recorded by our development department in a Cologne-based recording studio. Furthermore, the USB memory function allows you to store up to 99 of your own samples on the Fame sound module. Using a USB stick (optional), you can play back a further 10 sequences in addition to the 100 pre-programmed ones. The recording function can record your own performance, including the backing track, in real time. As well as the real hi-hat, there is a professional drum rack, four tom pads (10”), a snare pad (12”), an enlarged kick pad (12”), three cymbal pads (12”) and a bass drum pedal. All pads are fitted with modern mesh heads, which offer an excellent playing feel and reduced volume.

The Fame DD-ONE Professional XT is one of the most successful electronic drum kits worldwide. This is not only down to the excellent sounds from a renowned German recording studio, but also to the uniquely large pads with a first-class playing feel, the real hi-hat and the outstanding build quality.

The modern DD-ONE XT electronic drum kit from Fame features a sound module with 554 German studio sounds and a real hi-hat.

Nowhere else in this price range can you find an electronic drum kit featuring a 12-inch kick pad and a 12-inch snare pad. The dimensions of the drum pads have been adapted to match those of an acoustic drum kit to achieve the best possible playing feel. The kick pad features an authentic rebound, just like that of an acoustic bass drum. The snare pad, too, with its diameter, allows for immediate transmission of playing movements. The four tom pads, with a 10-inch diameter, offer a high degree of functionality and playing comfort. All drum pads have two zones – rim and head – so they can be assigned separate sounds. The cross-stick function is also handy; the sound module automatically recognises the rim-click technique and responds with a corresponding sample.

The drum rack is also robustly constructed and caters to experienced drummers with its excellent adjustment options.

The 12” hi-hat pad is mounted on a conventional stand (included). Just like with an acoustic set, it can be opened and closed using the foot pedal. A mechanical hi-hat with precise triggering (18 combinations) is unique in this price range. The double-braced stand offers ample adjustment options and is easy to transport. The hard rubber pad is designed to match the weight and rebound of conventional hardware, as found on an acoustic drum kit. The DD-One module also faithfully reproduces beats with precise hi-hat openings. The bass drum pedal features adjustable spring tension, and the new mesh heads offer improved rebound.

The vast majority of the samples on the module were recorded and developed in a Cologne-based recording studio. The extensive library was subsequently perfected for the module by the company’s in-house development department. The module features 554 sounds with precise dynamics, whilst also offering a comprehensive selection for professionals.

If you connect a USB stick, you can load up to 99 of your own WAV samples onto the module. Furthermore, the module can play back up to 99 of your own sequences/tracks via the USB memory function. 29 kits are pre-loaded, and up to 49 additional custom kits can be created. The powerful effects palette offers a wealth of options for modifying the sounds to suit your own preferences. For example, a reverb and a 4-band EQ are included. The pads supplied can be connected to the underside of the module via a handy pin connector.

The built-in metronome (30–280 bpm), USB-MIDI, a Master Out (R/L MONO), MIDI IN/OUT and an AUX IN neatly round off the overall functionality of the Fame DD-ONE Professional XT electronic drum kit. Six continuously adjustable group faders control the volume of the individual pads, allowing you to create your own mix directly on the module. By default, the electronic drum kit can be used with the USB to MIDI function to control a DAW. The 64x128-pixel LCD display ensures intuitive operation and a clearer overview.

The DD-ONE XT enables real-time recording at a rate of 2,000 notes per song. Even the AUX IN track or a song from a USB device can be recorded simultaneously, allowing spectacular performances to be recorded and processed in no time at all. A comprehensive coaching function helps users practise their speed and timing with a variety of programmes.
