About this listing
This second hand guitar is a 1961 Gibson SG Les Paul Vibrola Tribute, manufactured in 2013 by Gibson USA as a limited edition. The SG has undergone many variations since its creation by Gibson, and one of the most spectacular is undoubtedly the 1961 Les Paul SG Vibrola, which Gibson decided to reissue in 2013. What sets it apart from standard SGs is the wide, Les Paul-style headstock and, of course, the Vibrola—a vibrato system with a unique ergonomic design that’s particularly well-suited for sensible vibrato effects (see Paul Audia’s video below). These two elements give it that distinctive look, which we think is quite glorious. Otherwise, this guitar boasts all the qualities of the finest SGs: an ultra-comfortable neck with unparalleled access to the high notes, lightness and playability unusual for a Gibson, and magnificent resonance that’s beautifully captured by the two PAF Gibson pickups with which the guitar is equipped.Overall Condition: The guitar is in excellent condition with a few light marks on the finish along the side of the body, likely caused by the guitar stand on which it rested. It has had only one owner, who took great care of it and played it sparingly in his studio. The neck is easy to play, and the action is low. The electronics and pickups are original and work perfectly. The guitar comes in its original Gibson case with its certificates.Specifications:Solid-body construction with a glued mahogany body and neckVintage cherry nitrocellulose finishMahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, and binding.
