The Evans UV2 series consists of two layers of film, each 7 mil thick . The sound character is similar to that of the Evans G2 heads, although the tone is more focused. The Level 360° technology ensures the head sits precisely on the shell, guaranteeing Evans heads a particularly wide tuning range.

The drumheads in the Evans UV2 series are two-ply drumheads, each ply measuring 7 mil in thickness. The coating on the UV2 drumheads is cured using a special process involving ultraviolet light and promises a significantly longer lifespan than conventional coatings. It also has a stronger structure, making these Evans drumheads an attractive option for drummers looking for drumheads with increased durability and a crisp sound.
