Set of handmade passive pickups (J style) with Neodymium magnets for five-string electric bass

Set of pickups hand wound and waxed in a mixture of paraffin and beeswax so as not to incur feedback problems (squeal) and maintain their reliability over time.

 The magnets are neodymium, which ensures, as eloquently described by someone, "an impressive detail and a superior definition especially on the low frequencies, always dry and in focus". The high frequencies, for their part, are extensive and transparent. The articulation and naturalness of neodymium throughout the frequency range (both with bass and with electric guitars) and the generous output level which, also, is guaranteed by the use of rare earth magnets, make it the winning alternative also towards active pickups. The DC resistance is 10.8 Kohm for the pickup intended for the neck position and 11.4 Kohm for the bridge pickup. The wire used is the AWG 42.

The pickups are Reverse Wound / Reverse Polarity relative to each other.

Pole spacing (distance from the center of the first to the center of the fifth string) is 67 mm for the neck pickup and 70 mm for the bridge pickup.

As you can see from the photos, both the coils and the connection cables of both pickups are shielded, to improve their silence and cleanliness.

Set di pickup avvolti a mano e cerati in miscela di paraffina e cera d'api per non incorrere in problemi di feedback e mantenere la loro affidabilità nel tempo.

I magneti sono al neodimio, che assicura, come eloquentemente descritto da qualcuno, "un dettaglio impressionante e una definizione superiore soprattutto sulle basse frequenze, sempre asciutte e a fuoco". Le alte frequenze, dal canto loro, risultano estese e trasparenti. L'articolazione e la naturalezza del neodimio in tutta la gamma di frequenze (tanto con i bassi quanto con le chitarre elettriche) e il generoso livello di output che, pure, è garantito dall'utilizzo di magneti alle terre rare, ne fanno l'alternativa vincente anche verso i pickup attivi. La resistenza in continua è di 10,8 Kohm per il pickup destinato alla posizione manico e 11,4 Kohm per il pickup al ponte. Il filo utilizzato è l'AWG 42.

I pickup sono Reverse Wound / Reverse Polarity l'uno rispetto all'altro.

La spaziatura poli (intesa come distanza tra i centri della prima e della quinta corda) è di 67 mm per il pickup manico e di 70 mm per il pickup ponte.

Come si vede dalle foto, sia le bobine che i cavetti di collegamento di entrambi i pickup sono schermati, per migliorare la loro silenziosita' e pulizia.
