Description The Ibanez BTB866MS 6-string multi scale electric bass guitar merges the advanced feel of multi-scale fretwork with the punch and clarity of modern electronics. The body features ash and okoume wings with a contoured top and back, creating a comfortable grip for extended sessions. Neck-through construction ensures a solid connection from headstock to bridge, translating every note with deep sustain. Multi-scale geometry helps the low B string ring clear and tight, even when drop-tuned, while the high C string feels easier to fret. Players who want a precision instrument for complex riffs, fast fingerstyle, or aggressive down-tuned lines will find this bass answers those demands with real-world reliability. The 37-34.5 inch multi scale layout matches longer scale tension for the low B string with a shorter scale for the high C. This design keeps the low end crisp and defined, even in alternate tunings, and helps fret spacing stay comfortable up the neck. Players notice stronger projection on the B and smoother feel on the higher strings, making fast runs and big chords easier to play cleanly. This feature gives advanced bassists more control over their sound. T1 humbuckers use individually mounted coils for tight bass response and clear highs. Rounded edges help the pickup double as a thumb rest, and each coil's height can be set for nuanced adjustments. The custom electronics 3-band EQ includes a 3-way mid frequency switch, letting users tune midrange between 250, 450, and 700 Hz. EQ bypass enables passive operation, turning the treble knob into a master tone. The controls offer quick access to punch, clarity, and warmth on demand.Advanced players who need a bass that responds to fast, precise technique, extended range, and drop tunings will find this model answers those needs. The multi scale neck keeps low strings tight and high notes easy to reach, while the electronics provide instant access to punchy or smooth tones. Built for serious musicians, this instrument turns technical skill into expressive sound on every gig and session.
