SABIAN 15" AAX Medium Hat Bottom

The SABIAN 15" AAX Medium Hat Bottom delivers crisp, controlled response with a slightly darker character engineered specifically for studio recording and precision playing. This bottom cymbal is cast from B20 bronze and classified as medium weight, producing a thinner, more articulate voice ideal for sessions where definition and tight closure are paramount. Pair it with its matching top to create a versatile, studio-grade hi-hat setup.

Sonic Character & Stick Response

The medium weight classification produces reduced sustain and increased note clarity, making this cymbal particularly responsive for detailed playing dynamics and tight ensemble work. The larger, rounder peen combined with visible hammering patterns throughout the surface ensures fast stick response and clean articulation, supporting crisp closures and tight definitions in any recording environment.

Construction & Design

B20 bronze construction—a copper, tin, and silver alloy—delivers SABIAN's signature tonal warmth and durability. The medium weight design with rounded peen geometry creates a thinner cymbal profile optimized for studio conditions, reducing unwanted sustain while maximizing articulation and controlled response.
