For optimum tone conversion, none other than Seymour Duncan provides the pickups for the Ibanez AZ2402. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers installed in the neck and bridge position impress with a moderately increased Output and a balanced output of all frequencies, so that expressive electric guitar playing is optimally supported in conjunction with the lively dynamics. The coils of the different pickup combinations are selected using the 5-way blade switch, whereby additional options can be called up thanks to the dyna-MIX10 circuit. When the "Alter" switch is pressed, one coil of each humbucker is "tapped" with a reduced number of windings, so that thinned-out, finely resolved timbres are available.

Last but not least, the Ibanez Prestige AZ2402-BKF Black Flat impresses with its first-class hardware equipment. The bridge is the Gotoh T1802 tremolo specially developed for the Ibanez AZ series, which is equipped with titanium string saddles and a solid steel block to enhance the sound.
