Clean, workhorse-era Les Paul Custom from 2000 in the most classic Ebony finish. This period sits firmly in Gibson’s modern production years: USA-made in Nashville, maple-topped mahogany body, mahogany neck, and a real ebony fingerboard, not Richlite.
The Custom is the “Black Beauty” lineage that began in 1954 and was reintroduced in 1968; by 2000 it carried the familiar multi-ply binding, split-diamond headstock inlay, gold hardware, and medium-output humbuckers.
Standard playwear from use, frets in great shape with plenty of life, hardware showing normal age to the gold plating. There is a headstock crack (not a full break) that has been professionally repaired and is totally stable in use and tuning. Includes the original Gibson hardshell case; COA/papers are not included. Weight is 4600g.
This is a seriously underrated period for Gibson, and this Custom is a great example that is good to go and doesn’t cost a fortune.
