These sizes are hard to find in this condition and so well taken care of.

• Shell Material: Built using a 3-ply Maple and Gumwood combination. This specific wood layup is crucial for achieving that authentic, dry '50s tone. [1]
• Thickness: The shells feature an 8mm thickness combined with Canopus's proprietary custom bearing edge shape to encourage a soft, pure sustain. [1]
• Hoops & Lugs: Outfitted with brass straight hoops and classic brass lugs, which control overtones and allow the drum's natural wood character to cut through

This Canopus MV50-M1 kit has been very well cared for, since I have owned them. They have always remained in my studio space In cool environment. This kit is for someone who’s looking for a great huge warm, sounding kit with top-of-the-line Japanese hardware and durability if you’re a stickler for perfection this may not be your set.

Read before committing*. One original hole in the snare remains between the new butt plate mounting inside. I am a player so this doesn't bother me, however, If you are a COLLECTOR and this bothers you, I'd suggest this may not be your kit.

I professionally drilled the snare drum to upgrade and add a gold plated throw and butt plate. I professionally drilled the 12” tom to attached it to a Bass drum Mount System - to add the arm holder. One extra hole in snare and tom was drilled but professionally done by me - I am also a woodworker by trade.
