SABIAN 14" AA Medium Hat Top

The SABIAN 14" AA Medium Hat Top delivers a bright, articulate response with crisp stick definition and a solid wash when fully opened. This top cymbal pairs the classic bright character of the AA series with modern playability, making it responsive to both tight pedal work and expressive dynamic control. The B20 bronze construction and vintage-bright profile target players seeking that fundamental, explosively energetic sound across rock, funk, jazz, and blues applications.

Tone & Projection

The bright sound profile generates a crisp, full-bodied stick attack combined with a snappy pedal "chick" for definition in tight grooves. Open wash remains articulate and controlled rather than washy, giving you tonal clarity across the frequency spectrum without muddiness.

Build & Construction

Cast from B20 bronze, this cymbal maintains the tonal integrity that has defined SABIAN's AA series for decades. The Medium Top weight balances responsiveness with projection, allowing both delicate control and powerful articulation depending on playing dynamics.
