The Warm Audio JUDE-MP2 is a single-channel Class A microphone preamp developed in collaboration with Sound Techniques. It is based on the preamp circuitry of the historic Sound Techniques A-Range consoles, which shaped the sound of numerous legendary recordings from the 1960s and 1970s.

With its dual-discrete 3035 Class-A amplification, high-quality CineMag transformers and meticulous hand-wired construction, the JUDE-MP is aimed at studios and producers who wish to combine characterful vintage sound with modern reliability.

A distinctive feature of the JUDE-MP is the 9-step Z-Match impedance control, based on Geoff Frost’s original circuit design.

Different impedance settings alter the interaction between the microphone and the preamp. This allows the gain structure, transients, frequency balance and harmonic character to be precisely controlled.

The original 3035 dual-discrete Class-A circuit delivers a powerful and musical sound with the characteristic depth of classic British studio consoles.

The preamp is particularly well-suited to vocals, acoustic guitar, piano and electric guitar, and can lend recordings additional presence, warmth and character.

For the JUDE-MP, Warm Audio uses custom CineMag USA transformers, Wima and Nichicon capacitors, and classic carbon resistors.
