Fender Heartfield Talon MIJ Super Strat HH - RARE Ibanez JEM Factory Build!

RARE 1991 Heartfield Talon by Fender. Heartfield was a brief brand as a joint venture between Fender USA and Fender Japan, with these models being built by the same team building the Ibanez JEM and using it as a template for this guitar. The brand only existed from 1989-1993 with the Talon range made for 1991 and ended due to high cost and pricing.

The Talons are known to be described as tweaked Ibanez RG guitars built in the same factory along the Japanese Ibanez JEM. The Talon has a basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, HSH pickup routing, 22 frets, a single-ply black pickguard and a Floyd Rose II tremolo system. Ultra slim "U" shape neck radius is 17" (431.8 mm), scale length is 25.5" (648 mm).

This example has had its pickups updated with active EMG humbucker HH configuration with space available for a single coil in the middle position if you want to add one. The guitar has had a simple refinish in a flat black that has crazing.

Very cool guitar and a piece of Fender history! Vinnie Moore (UFO), Russ Parrish (Steel Panther), and Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, Dokken) were known players of this model.
