Fiesta solid top 1980s solid cedar classical guitar great projection and tone hand made Spain

Vintage  solid cedar classical guitar by Guitarras Fiesta hand made in Spain & distributed by the  respected  Juan Teijeiro Music Co in London.

Brand new set up and  sounding great.

Neatly strung with D'Addario Pro-Arte medium tension, I have also cleaned and hydrated the fretboard and polished every individual fret  using a template.

The guitar has excellent projection.

Please note stable repair! that does not effect sound or structure    

Few nips and little dings but also a repair that looks like marbling or if a guitar had a birth mark which you can't feel but has a  scratch in that area as well (that you can feel,  no cracks or splitting anywhere on the guitar which is the main thing.  

The repair (if it is one, could have been a scorch from a fireplace or heater perhaps) is stable and the guitar is structurally  sound with great tone and projection, tuners have light pitting but I can replace those if required or lightly sand any nips off for you (i'll do that anyway of course)  

The barrels are nice (no cracks) so  think you can get a few more years out of the current tuners and they hold tune nicely.

Few  nips to the tip of the Spanish  heel and usual wear for an old guitar,  some light dings to the outer edging and little scuffs to the top headstock but nothing major.

The top Cedar is thicker than what i'm used to seeing on any solid top (and i've owned many models ) as with the rosewood  fretboard which is very thick at 8.5mm so great quality woods used.

 You can't pick up a vintage Spanish solid top for this price, unless you take huge risks, I have taken many recently and was even sent the wrong guitar, I got  refund but wanted the guitar : ( also a lot of people are not clear or knowledgeable wit regards to playabilty of issues.  

I find the neck a little thick for me so not for a younger player or someone with smaller hands.

iI you are not fussy about cosmetics (you can't see the repair or markings when played anyway) then this is great bargain for a hand made vintage solid top

be warned, so many sellers list guitars as "solid tops" when that are laminate, the grain of the wood have to follow vertically  into the soundhole, (best to look at the neck point) a lot of Japanese laminate methods are hard to tell, as they use  2 small pieces of fur wood and almost paper thin spruce or cedar  and polish and buff the edges so well that it looks like one piece so i'm not saying people mislead on purpose.

To be honest it's a myth that solid tops are better, it's just that solid woods open up over the years so improve/mature/warm up in the first 3-5 years and sometimes beyond but you will get laminate guitars far superior than a solid top that's just been thrown together in a factory.

The way to think about it is that a solid top would only be better than a laminate top if made by the same person or same factory to the same template using all the same woods except for the soundboard.

I've owned Brazilian laminate tops worth over £400 that have been better than any solid top Ive played under £800  solid tops just became the thing in the 80s as far as being  better woods (agreed) that doesn't mean a bad maker can't use solid woods ;  ) and a handmade laminate guitar can also be exceptional.

This is 100% a solid top and a chunk of a piece of cedar as well so if your a solid top fan then this a great option if you are on a budget. I've played guitar  for a long time and find this model to  have great projection and nice clear tone.    Would suite someone advancing in their playing looking for a bit more presence or fro someone that doesn't want a cheap shinny thrown together guitar. I've played some awful models  costing $300+ that are not a patch on this

I can fit light tension strings if you would prefer and are new to playing classical. I have been playing in DADGAD  I will remove masking tape  fret markers and re photo, the neck is in excellent condition and dead strait.
