Slingerland Gene Krupa drum set in Marine Pearl with Buddy Rich TDR snare drum
This is one fine drum set. We have a local Buddy Rich fanatic who collects all the sets BR played on.
The finish has yellowed real nice ! It has that aged marine pearl look that Ludwig & Gretsch charge the earth for !
So lets jump in with the nitty gritty .
Sizes are 13″ 16″ 22″
13″ x 9″ Tom – No Badge – we too wonder why! Very strange that there is no hole too.
Chrome over brass hoops & on this tom the brass is showing through. Original Damper .
Some tension rods are non original . Heads fit good .Mahogany inner ply gives this a rich, dark tone.
16″ x 16″ Floor Tom -Serial no 249345 on a 1960’s Gold script Badge Niles
Maple shell . Heads fit good . Damper is missing. Original 3 legs Chrome over Brass Hoops. Such a great floor tom sound !
22″ x 14″ Bass Drum – Date stamped 1960 Mahogany inner ply . Gold script Slingerland badge – no serial – Chicago badge. Rail m0unt is in good shape & holds well. There is a cymbal mount but the screw is missing.
Reproduction BR Slingerland drum head !
Its a quality set that really sounds the real deal .
