The EWS Subtle Volume Control (SVC) is a device developed in collaboration with EWS (Engineering Work Store), based on an idea by Scott Henderson. It features a low-impedance input. Scott Henderson uses the SVC connected between the effects loop of his amplifier. This allows him to control only the volume without altering the sound set up to the amplifier's preamp section. Alternatively, it's commonly used integrated into effects boards to control the overall volume.

IN (Input Jack):
Connect the cable from the amplifier's effects loop SEND terminal or the effects pedal's output. If you are using multiple effects pedals, change the connection location depending on your playing style.
OUT (Output Jack)
If you are installing this product at the end of an effects system, such as connecting it to the RETURN jack of an amplifier's effects loop, the input jack of another effects pedal, or the input jack of an effects pedal system, connect the cable to the amplifier's input jack.
Volume (Volume Control)
This knob changes the volume of the signal input to the input jack. Turning it all the way to the left (counterclockwise) sets the volume to 0 (no sound). Turning it all the way to the right (clockwise) sets the volume to full (fully open).
This product features large, distinctive knobs and is designed to be operated with the feet.
