Schecter C-5 GT Bass Natural B-Stock
The Schecter C-5 GT delivers articulate, controlled five-string tone in a professionally appointed compact package designed for working bassists who demand extended low-end without sacrificing playability. Dual EMG pickups and a 2-band EMG EQ provide the tonal definition required in studio and live settings, while the responsive 35" scale and thin "C" neck profile keep extended playing sessions comfortable and precise. This B-stock example represents genuine value for players seeking premium tonewood construction and professional hardware at a reduced price point.
Tone and Electronics
The EMG 40DC bridge pickup and EMG 40P5 neck pickup deliver controlled, articulate output with minimal noise floor—ideal for defined low-end articulation and midrange clarity across all five strings. The integrated 2-band EMG EQ with 9-volt clip-in battery compartment and Volume/Blend control allow essential tonal shaping without complexity, while the Schecter Custom Bass Bridge with string-through design ensures maximum sustain and harmonic clarity.
Playability and Construction
The thin "C" neck profile (0.787" at the 1st fret, 0.866" at the 12th) combined with a 3-piece maple set-neck and Ultra Access cutaway provides speed and precision during extended sessions while maintaining comfortable access to all 24 extra-jumbo frets. The 35" (889mm) scale balances traditional feel with modern definition, anchored by a Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut (1.771" width) and 16" radius ebony fretboard that support both aggressive playing and refined articulation.
