About this listing
Incredible acoustic guitar. I have owned many of the most sought after vintage acoustics and this is one of my final 5. So light, so detailed. The decades of mojo fly freely from this early 1935 conversion Roy Smeck Stage De Luxe. The neck is over 2" wide at the nut and I don't own an easier to play acoustic. I've had my Martin authorized luthier spend some time inside this guitar, properly treating the minor cracks, everything is rock solid and nothing is compromising the tone or resonance. The neck is in superb shape and position, no problems. Action is beautiful, low with room for finger picking and expression. Right where you want it.I am wide open to questions and would like to help find a rightful new owner for this timeless gem. I have had her in the recording studio for many albums and can send examples along if you'd like to hear. Included vintage 1960s/70s hard shell case is a superb fit. I always ship correctly and quickly, many vintage instrument sales always done right.Best,BobGibson Roy Smeck Stage De Luxe with Factory Order Number (FON) batch 64 A dates to early 1935.
