The Electro-Voice EVOLVE 30M G2 combines a portable column PA system with an integrated 8-channel digital mixer. This makes it ideal for singer-songwriters, small ensembles, mobile DJs and presenters. Microphones, instruments and audio sources can be connected directly to the system and mixed. This means an additional mixing desk is not required for suitable performance set-ups. The combination of a slim column and a compact subwoofer makes it easy to use at different venues.

A 10-inch subwoofer with a laminar flow vent design handles the bass frequencies, whilst six 2.8-inch neodymium drivers in the column reproduce the midrange and treble. The amplifier output is 1,500 W, distributed as 800 W for the subwoofer and 700 W for the column speaker. The system achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 125 dB at a distance of 1 m. Its frequency response ranges from 51 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB, with an extended frequency range from 45 Hz to 20 kHz at -10 dB. The dispersion pattern of 120° horizontally and 40° vertically ensures wide audience coverage.

Two internal effects processors enhance the mix with reverb, delay, chorus and other sound processing options. The effects can be switched on and off via a connected footswitch . Automatic Feedback Suppression (AFS) helps to reduce feedback. Music Ducking automatically lowers the volume of the music on the stereo inputs during an announcement. For system tuning, the MUSIC, LIVE, SPEECH and CLUB modes are available, as well as a graphic or parametric main EQ. Settings can be adjusted via the 2 .8-inch colour display or using the QuickSmart app.

The digital mixer offers four mono microphone/line channels, one stereo line channel and one Bluetooth stereo channel. The four XLR/TRS combo inputs feature individually switchable 48 V phantom power. Channel 4 also features a Hi-Z connection, for example for a guitar with a passive pickup. Stereo sources can be connected via two XLR/TRS combo sockets, RCA or 3.5 mm stereo jack. Channel EQs and compressors on the mic/line channels help to balance vocals and instruments.

Using QuickSmart Link, two EVOLVE 30M G2 units can be connected via a Cat5 cable for digital audio and shared mixer control. Alternatively, Bluetooth True Wireless Stereo enables wireless stereo playback with a second system. In addition, an XLR mix-out and a separate XLR aux-out are provided, for example for a dedicated monitor mix. The modular system, comprising a subwoofer, spacer bar and column, is quick to set up and, according to the manufacturer , weighs around 19.75 kg. The package includes a carry bag for the column speakers and spacer bar. The EVOLVE 30M G2 is available in black or white.
