The Gibson SG Special Ebony clearly follows the authentic specifications of the mid-level model of the early sixties. The iconic solid-body electric guitar from the Original Collection features the famous double-cutaway design with the raw and powerful sound of two P-90 pickups, while a slim taper neck and historically accurate hardware appointments provide the look and feel of the original. including a hardshell case! 

The Gibson SG Special Ebony follows the tried and true recipe and relies on solid mahogany for the body and neck construction, which allows unhindered access to the highest fretboard layers. Here ensures the slim taper neck profile and the 22-fret rosewood fretboard with single-ply cream binding and classic dimensions provide nimble playability and the unmistakable feel of early '60s Gibson solid bodies. 

As a traditional Special model, the SG Special naturally features two Gibson P-90 single coils. The two single coils in the iconic Soapbar housing produce a powerful and present sound that combines the best qualities of the single coil and humbucker and knows how to play to all its strengths both in the Clean and Drive. Both pickups are wired via classic wiring with real Orange Drop capacitors. 

As part of the Original Collection, the Gibson SG Special features the same hardware as its early sixties counterparts. Accordingly, the combination of compensated wraparound bridge and six vintage Deluxe tuners with oval white wings are used here, while the four Black top hats with silver reflectors impressively round off the authentic look of the Gibson SG Special.
