Here’s a rare opportunity to own a piece of West German drum-making history. This is an original Sonor Teardrop kit from the iconic Teardrop era (ca. 1969–1971), Made in West Germany. The shells are 6-ply beech — the most sought-after construction of the Teardrop run — and finished in the stunning “Kristall” wrap: the classic black/gold stripe pattern also known among collectors as “TV Wrap”. Several drums still wear their original heads, adding to the authenticity and vintage charm of this set.

These drums sound absolutely wonderful — warm, dry, and full of that unmistakable low-mid beech character that made Sonor Teardrops legendary among jazz and studio players worldwide.
