Crafted to deliver shimmering, harmonically complex 12-string textures, the 454ce features a solid-wood Grand Auditorium body and two next-generation design innovations that enhance playability and live performance utility. The beloved tonewood pairing of Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce produces a clear, balanced, octave-rich voice with pristine trebles, warm lows and a lush overtone profile that beautifully complements the signature sparkle of the 12-string configuration. A slender, easy-playing Action Control Neck™—new to this model—allows for quick, easy string height adjustments and boosts low-end resonance thanks to its long-tenon design. Under the hood, V-Class® bracing enhances projection, sustain and pitch accuracy, contributing to a robust voice that suits virtually any playing style or genre.

New onboard Claria System electronics deliver predictable, stage- and studio-ready tone that’s easy to dial in for players and sound engineers alike. The 454ce sports a full-body gloss finish, new Weathervane inlays in Italian acrylic, black body binding with black and white top trim, nickel tuning machines, and a firestripe pickguard.

Features
Explore Lush and Inspiring Soundscapes

This comfortable 12-string model features an accommodating body shape, time-tested tonewoods and a revolutionary neck joint design.

Grand Auditorium - Our flagship shape offers comfort and cross-genre utility, with a clear, balanced tone suited for both fingerstyle and strumming.

Indian Rosewood Body Wood - The tonewood superstar. Popular, traditional, and versatile, Bob Taylor puts Indian rosewood among the greatest tonewoods ever.

Action Control Neck - Building on Taylor’s legacy of easy-playing necks, the new Action Control Neck pairs a long-tenon joint for added warmth and depth with a patented system for effortless string height adjustment.

Spruce Top Wood - The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles.

The Claria Acoustic Pickup System - Designed for reliability and ease of use, the Claria System features a reimagined piezo pickup that delivers clear, versatile acoustic tone for any application.

Venetian Cutaway - The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.

V-Class Bracing - Our patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.
