Spector NS Ethos 5 – Interstellar Gloss – 5-String Neck-Through Bass

Up for sale is my Spector NS Ethos 5 in the stunning Interstellar Gloss finish.

This is a fantastic modern Spector that combines the classic curved NS body shape and neck-through construction with premium Aguilar electronics and a 35" scale that gives the low B excellent definition and clarity.

The Interstellar Gloss finish is one of the highlights of this bass. The highly figured Poplar Burl top really comes alive under the gloss finish, and the combination of blue, purple and darker tones gives each bass a unique appearance depending on the lighting.

The NS Ethos uses a solid Maple body with a figured Poplar Burl top and a 3-piece Maple neck-through design. The 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard includes Spector's custom 12th-fret logo inlay along with Luminlay side dots.

Electronics are handled by a pair of Aguilar DCB G4 humbuckers paired with an Aguilar OBP-2 active preamp. The combination gives the bass plenty of clarity, punch and definition while still retaining the aggressive midrange character people expect from a Spector.

The 35" scale works especially well on a 5-string, giving the low B a tight and authoritative feel without going to a full multiscale design.
