Electro-Harmonix 6BM8 triode pentode tube. Made in Russia.
Contains one preamp triode and one power pentode in a 9 pin miniature package
The Electro Harmonix is a durable, good sounding alternative to costly NOS 6BM8 / ECL82 tubes.
The world's only new production 6BM8 featuring a more robust plate structure for better sound. A fairly obscure tube but popular enough that Electro-Harmonix decided to reissue it. As the supply of vintage 6BM8’s dries up, it is good to see a reissue of their vintage counterpart. The European designation for 6BM8 is ECL82 and both tubes are compatible with one another. These tubes feature a preamp section and a power section making them quite unique. These require well-kept and calibrated TV-7’s to test properly. They are specifically tested and matched by their Gm.
