This is the Manta Ray Bass Preamp Pedal, based on the legendary Ernie Ball MusicMan 2-band Stingray bass preamp.
As the original circuit was intended to live inside the bass and to maximize battery life, the gain in the circuit was reduced to optimize battery life. In this circuit, we have increased the maximum gain available to give greater than unit gain with the pedal!
Treble, Bass, and volume controls and a LM4250 op amp provide incredible amounts of tonal options.
This pedal uses a standard boss-style 9V DC power adapter. There are no provisions for a battery connection.
