Blackstar Airwire i58 Wireless Instrument System

The Blackstar Airwire i58 is a plug-in wireless system for guitar, bass and any instrument with a 1/4-inch output. The transmitter plugs into the instrument and the receiver into your amp or pedalboard, and the pair links on the less crowded 5.8 GHz band, where nearby Wi-Fi does not interfere. Latency stays under 6 ms with a full 20 Hz to 20 kHz response, and the range reaches 35 m (100 ft).

Cable Tone, Channels and Battery

The wireless link keeps the treble that a long cable would roll off. Players who like that softer top end can switch Cable Tone on at the receiver to bring it back. Four channels let up to four sets run on one stage. Both units charge over USB-C in under 2.5 hours and play for about 9 hours, the channel lights change color as the battery runs down, and the receiver turns itself off after 10 minutes without a paired transmitter.
