About this listing
I'm 76 years old and bought these hi-hats new back in the 1960s. I have 2 sets, and selling one. Check out Reverb's own site on how to confirm the age of Zildjians. https://reverb.com/it/news/how-to-date-an-avedis-zildjian-cymbalMine have the identifiable 3 dots in the Arabic script forming a triangle. Also, the 1960s New Beats had a very heavy bottom and a light top cymbal. I don't have a gram scale, but I tried my best to use my bathroom digital scale and found the top cymbal to be around 2.0 lbs and the bottom cymbal around 2.8 lbs. This would correspond to 908 grams (top) and 1271 grams (bottom) just to give you an idea -- of course plus or minus a few grams because of the use of a bathroom scale. The 1960s New Beats had a bold Zildjian name as you can see in the photos. Also, the 1960s New Beats had a logo that was 1 3/16" high. That's what these are -- see photo. Because of that heavy bottom, these hi-hats give a distinct sound. And they have been good to me for many years. Shipping to Continental U.S.A. only
