As Behringer’s first foray into the world of synthesis, the DeepMind12 synthesizer has been the topic of plenty of conversation this past year. From Uli Behringer’s message-board missives to official release announcements, there’s been plenty of buzz — at NAMM 2017, we got to see what the fuss is all about in person.
It’s immediately clear that this analog/digital hybrid synth has a Juno-esque vibe. One thing you can’t tell from photos and videos is that it’s got surprising heft for a 49-key synth. It’s also got integrated wifi, allowing you to control it via tablet.
