*Serviced* 50's-60's Grundig GDM 121 Omni Directional Dynamic Microphone (Sennheiser MD21)

The Grundig GDM121! A beautiful, rebranded Sennheiser MD21! Sennheiser has been producing these consistently since 1953.This omni dynamic mic is a fantastic, open sounding utility mic. Great for all kinds of sources.

These were made in tons of colorways and different cosmetic set ups, this grey/white is probably the most iconic of the originals, and most typically seen under Sennheiser branding.

This one's beautiful cosmetic condition, this mic was really well cared for. When I opened it to change to low impedence, it had clearly never been opened. There is a bit of scratching on the bottom of the mic and inside of the table stand, just from being assembled and disassembled over the years.

There are a few different capsules that were used in these, even early on. This one has a big capsule, almost the size/weight of a 421 capsule, and it sounds magnificent.

Transformer bypassed, converted to balanced 200 ohm output. Diaphragm cleaned. The original cable was in such nice shape, I elected to add an XLR jack to the original braided cable rather than replace the entire thing.

Includes very cool original table stand. The mic itself has typical 3/8” euro thread as well, so it can easily be mounted on a regular mic stand.
