About this listing
Yamaha YAS-23 Alto Saxophone – Excellent Condition, Freshly Serviced, Perfectly In Tune, Ready to Play, Priced to SellThis Yamaha YAS-23 alto is in excellent playing shape and sounds incredible. What keeps it at excellent instead of near mint is normal minor cosmetic wear — scratches and scuffs from regular use — plus one very small dent on the bow. None of that affects the sound at all. It went through a professional service a few days ago, I play tested it several times after that, and it’s in tune. Tone holes are in great shape. Pads seal evenly with no air leaks. The sound is that classic Yamaha student alto voice — warm and centered with solid projection when you dig in.The keywork feels even under the fingers. Springs come back quickly without feeling stiff, soft notes speak cleanly instead of hanging, and the upper end stays focused instead of thinning out. After the service and those extra play tests, it feels finished. You can put a reed on and play right away — no extra shop visit needed. The YAS-23 is Yamaha’s longtime student alto. Reliable pitch, a durable build, and a sound that works day after day once it’s set up. These stay consistent, and a clean example with only minor cosmetic marks is better than the usual ones that have been passed around for years.Three brand new Vandoren reeds are included. If you’re looking for an excellent YAS-23 that’s already been serviced and checked more than once, this one is a solid option. It’s priced to sell. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
