About this listing
YAMAHA FG-200FA vintage Yamaha FG from the “Black Label” era (1974–1975).Despite its relatively compact body, this FG-200F delivers the powerful, articulate sound that makes Yamaha guitars from this era so appealing. The bridge saddle has been lowered close to its limit, but it allows the guitar low action. For a guitar from this period, it is set up to be relatively easy to play. The guitar has visible age-related wear, including dings and scratches throughout, and is best described as a player-grade instrument. The neck is straight, with no noticeable warping or twisting. The frets are quite low overall, but the guitar should still work well for firm strumming in the lower positions.A good choice for a player who values the sound of a vintage Yamaha more than pristine cosmetics or minor condition details.Specs– Scale: Medium scale– Frets: 20– Included: Generic soft case– Year: 1974–1975Condition– Parts replaced: Nut and saddle replaced with bone parts.– Damages: Dings, scratches, and other wear are noticeable throughout.– Neck: Straight, with no warping or twisting.– Frets: Previously leveled; quite low overall.– Truss rod: Works properly in both directions.Setup– Strings: Elixir 11-52 – Action at the 12th fret: 1st string 2 mm, 6th string 2.5 mmPlease note- We are unable to accept price negotiations, as the listed price already reflects our best.- The shipping fees listed on the item page are reference prices and may differ from the actual shipping cost (including Reverb and PayPal fees.)
