About this listing
You are purchasing a Tech 21 Sansamp Character Series California effect pedal for guitar (or bass!)This pedal is part of Tech 21's Character Series of Sansamps. Like the famous Sansamp, it is a compact amp-in-a-box. This versatile circuit is made to be used as a stompbox in front or your amp, a preamp, DI, or even plugged straight into a PA for an Amp-less live rig (I've really done this and love it)!The Character Series were designed to mimic several legendary amplifiers. In this case the Mesa/Boogie Mark II.These are surprisingly versatile, sensitive pedals. A slight tweak of the 'character' knob blends into different iterations of the Mark series, with not just different tonal curves, but gain characteristics! My favorite use for this and other Sansamps was as a direct recording box; just add a 'room' type reverb effect, and BOOM, you just saved some tedious amp micing! Plus, managing high gain volume becomes a non issue. This particular example has some use wear ( scuffs and dings), but is functionally perfect. No box or manual.I am selling this and other pedals as part of an effort to clear out all this gear that I have no time to play these days! Thank you for your interest.
