This is one of the most sought-after speaker configurations from the ’70s. These are dated with code ML19, 19th December 1978."The Celestion T1886 is a specific variant of the 30-watt G12H "Blackback" guitar speaker manufactured in 1978. These speakers are highly regarded for their use in late 1970s Marshall cabinets, particularly the 1984 bass cabs, and are often noted for having a more "fluid" sound suitable for both bass and guitar. "This 1978 example retains its original cosmetics, including black tolex & speaker cloth, white piping and low single input. Cosmetically it shows honest vintage wear with a strip of tolex missing on the rear panel, but everything is solid, clean and fully functional.
