About this listing
Up for sale is a stunning, beautifully preserved mid-1950s Harmony H63 Espanada archtop. This is the highly desirable "Harmometal" variant, featuring the iconic fluted aluminum body binding and the classic "Espanada" script insignia on the lower bout. It is an incredible player's instrument that balances gorgeous vintage character with professional luthier upkeep. Make sure to watch the included actual video of this guitar being played to hear how incredible it sounds! Electronics & Tone: Equipped with its original, factory-installed dual Gibson P13 single-coil pickups. These high-output precursors to the P-90 deliver a fat, woody chime with a thick, mid-forward growl that blues, jazz, and rockabilly players absolutely love. The original volume/tone controls and selector switch work cleanly. Playability & Luthier Updates: This guitar is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition for its age. It has been professionally serviced to maximize its daily playability: • The neck is remarkably straight and features very minor, honest fret wear. It plays beautifully up and down the neck. • The fretboard binding has been completely replaced and refreshed, offering a clean, stable feel with zero of the brittle deterioration common to original plastic bindings from this era. • The bridge has been upgraded to a pro-fitted aluminum compensated model, precision-shaped by a luthier to optimize string radius, intonation, and sustain across the arched body. Cosmetics & Inclusions: The original black nitrocellulose finish shows gorgeous, honest light finish checking and minor signs of play wear, giving it an undeniable vintage aesthetic. No structural breaks or wood cracks. Comes housed in a clean, protective non-original hardshell case. Shipping & Terms:
