Gretsch 6130 Roundup 1955Made in USAAn incredible 1955 Gretsch Roundup featuring all Western feature cactus and cowboy leather bound! Amazing bit of Americana. Replacement scratch plate. Original Case.Very similar in features and appearance to the 6121 with solid body 13 1/4 inches wide. Has a knotty pine top (instead of maple on 6121), western “belt buckle” tailpiece (instead of Bigsby), Melita bridge (instead of aluminum bridge), tortoise pickguard with engraved steer head, and a bone nut (instead of an aluminum nut).

Overview

The Roundup features a knotted pine top, adjustable Melita bridge, and a pair of single coil DeArmond pickups, to go alongside a host of Western themed aesthetic touches. The Roundup is very similar to the original 6121 Chet Atkins produced at the same time, but the 6121 features a maple top and a non-adjustable bridge.

While most Roundups were produced with single coils, limited models were released in the late '50s that featured period-correct Filter'tron humbuckers.
