100% all-original 1979 Gibson RB-250 Mastertone 5-string banjo. This instrument was built during the legendary Kalamazoo, Michigan era, stamped on Wednesday, October 31, 1979 ,Halloween day!Serial Number: 73049047Features & Condition:• All-Original: No non-original modifications. Features the original Gibson-stamped tuners, tailpiece, original heavy cast tone ring, and mahogany neck/resonator with an ebony fingerboard.The instrument is currently fitted with a different tailpiece and bridge. The original bridge and tailpiece are included.• Neck & Playability: The neck is straight, the truss rod functions as intended, and the frets have plenty of life left in them.• Structural Note : there is some minor delamination (slight separation of the wood plies) visible in a few spots. This does not affect the structural integrity under full tension, but it is a straightforward fix for any experienced luthier or banjo specialist. The thumb screws do not appear to be entirely original.• Case: Comes complete with its original 1979 Gibson hard shell caseShipping & Details:The banjo is located in the Netherlands.
