About this listing
1970's GIBSON LES PAUL SIGNATURE GOLD. This Gibson Les Paul Signature Gold Top is one of roughly 1,400 produced in the Norlin era and uses the construction of an 335 but with an asymmetrical body. The body is Maple laminate with a Maple center block, and the neck is 3-piece Maple with a Volute and bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are low impedance, and the guitar has two output jacks, one on the top and one on the side. The controls include a standard 3-way pickup selector, master volume and tone controls, plus a phase switch and a three-position rotary output level selector marked 50, 200 and 500. The serial number is not fully readable as the guitar has had a relaquer on the back of the neck and now has Schaller tuners replacing the originals. At one point there have been extra pots installed either side of the bottom F hole, these have been filled and has been resprayed and relaquered in that area. Pickguard is a replacement. The body shows various chips and dings. Areas of wear on the fretboard at second fret and at the end of fretboard near the neck pick up. A very nice collectible players grade guitar. Comes with a hard shell case.Customers please note that returns purchased through PayPal will also incur PayPals fees (Approx 4%).
