About this listing
Stunning guitar in every way. Transitional R0 reflected in the neck profile which I can only describe as close to perfect (probably V2). Lemon Burst finish which I would describe as more of an Amber Burst (I have included a picture with my favourite lager for reference), which gets slightly darker up by the neck as it should (many don’t). Wonderful ageing by Tom Murphy which is not too over the top (there is minimal ageing at the back which is hard to capture in the photos). Have a look at YouTube etc for reviews on these True Historic’s which are no longer being produced by Gibson. One of the most important differences between these and normal Historic’s is the hand selected wood used. This guitar is incredibly light for a non chambered Les Paul. At 3.64kg you won’t find lighter and it feels completely different to a normal Les Paul when playing it especially when strapped on. This guitar has had minimal home use and was purchased from the Japanese market (see photo of paperwork). Also comes with traditional shaped aged case (not all aged True Historic’s came with this option).Pickups upgraded to Throbak PG-102 MXV including magnet flip for an amazing out of phase sound in the middle position (see YouTube demo’s featuring Kid Anderson). Definitely the best PAF repro’s of the many I have tried on other guitars.
