Comments:
The J-45, nicknamed "The Workhorse," is Gibson's most famous acoustic model, first introduced in 1942. This reissue model specifically recreates the specifications common during the 1960s, a period when the model underwent significant aesthetic and functional shifts. This era saw the introduction of more "modern" features like the white pickguard and adjustable bridge to compete with changing market tastes. This model features a period-correct adjustable saddle, allowing you to easily change string height with a screwdriver—a hallmark of mid-60s Gibsons. It includes the iconic white pickguard with a hot-stamped Gibson logo and the narrow nut width popularised in the 1960s to accommodate faster playing styles.
